5 Brand Pitch Email Templates That Get Replies (For Small Creators)

Most pitch emails get ignored. Brands receive hundreds of emails weekly from creators, and 90% of them sound exactly the same: 'Hi, I love your brand! I'd love to collaborate!' That's not a pitch. That's noise.

The emails that get replies have three things in common: they're specific, they're brief, and they demonstrate value before asking for anything. This guide gives you 5 copy-paste templates that work, plus the psychology behind why they work.

For a list of brands actively seeking creators, see our brands with open PR programs and our K-beauty brands to pitch.

What to Include in a Brand Pitch Email

Before we get to the templates, understand what brands actually need to see in a pitch email:

  • Your follower count + engagement rate: Lead with engagement if you're under 10K followers. A 5% engagement rate beats a 1% engagement rate on a larger account.
  • Your niche and audience demographics: Age range, location, interests. Brands need to know if your audience matches their target customer.
  • What you're proposing: Be specific. 'A 60-second unboxing Reel' beats 'some posts'. Define the deliverable.
  • Your media kit (attached): Never make brands ask for it. Attach it as a PDF or link to it in the email.
  • A clear, specific ask: Are you asking for PR? A paid collaboration? An affiliate partnership? Be explicit.

Keep the entire email under 150 words. Anything longer won't get read.

Template 1 — Cold PR Pitch (Beauty / Skincare)

This template works for beauty, skincare, and wellness brands. It leads with a specific product mention to show genuine familiarity.

Subject: [Your Name] x [Brand] — [Product Name] Content Idea

Hi [Name/Team],

I'm [Your Name], a skincare creator on [Instagram/TikTok] with [X] followers and a [X]% engagement rate. My audience is primarily [age range], [location], focused on [niche — e.g., 'sensitive skin solutions' or 'budget-friendly skincare'].

I've been using your [specific product] for [time period] and [genuine observation — e.g., 'it's the only serum that doesn't trigger my rosacea'].

I'd love to create a [specific content format — e.g., 'full ingredient breakdown Reel' or '2-week before/after series'] featuring [product or line].

My media kit is attached. Happy to share more examples!

Best,
[Your Name]
[Instagram/TikTok handle]
[Email]

Why it works: You named a specific product (proves you've used it). You gave genuine feedback (not generic praise). You proposed a specific content format (saves them thinking). You led with value, not asks.

Template 2 — Cold PR Pitch (Fashion / Lifestyle)

Fashion brands care about aesthetic fit. This template leads with style alignment.

Subject: Styling Collab? [Your Name] x [Brand]

Hi [Name/Team],

I'm [Your Name], a [niche — e.g., 'minimalist fashion' or 'sustainable style'] creator on [platform] with [X] followers ([X]% engagement). My audience is [age, location, interests].

I've been following [Brand] for [reason — e.g., 'your commitment to ethical production' or 'the way you style transitional pieces']. Your [specific collection or piece] fits perfectly with my current content direction.

I'd love to create a [specific deliverable — e.g., 'capsule wardrobe styling Reel' or 'lookbook carousel with 5 outfits'] featuring your pieces.

Media kit attached. Would love to chat!

Template 3 — Follow-Up Email (Day 7, No Reply)

Most creators never follow up. That's a mistake. A polite follow-up at day 7 nearly doubles response rates.

Subject: Re: [Original Subject Line]

Hi [Name/Team],

Just bumping this up! I know inboxes get busy.

Quick recap: I'm a [niche] creator interested in featuring [product/collection]. I'd create [specific deliverable].

Media kit attached if helpful. No worries if the timing isn't right — I'll keep creating content about [brand/niche] either way!

Best,
[Your Name]

Key rule: Only follow up once. Two follow-ups looks desperate. If they don't reply after the follow-up, move on.

Template 4 — Response to a Brand That Replied

When a brand replies with interest, respond within 24 hours. Here's how to keep the momentum:

Subject: Re: [Their Subject Line]

Hi [Name],

Thanks so much for getting back to me!

I'm absolutely interested in [whatever they proposed — PR, paid collab, etc.]. Here's what I had in mind:

Content: [Specific deliverable — e.g., '1x Instagram Reel (60 sec) + 3x Stories']
Timeline: [When you'd post — e.g., 'within 2 weeks of receiving product']
My rate: [If discussing paid work — or 'Happy to discuss based on campaign scope']

Let me know what works on your end. I can also hop on a quick call if that's easier!

Excited to work together,
[Your Name]

Template 5 — Pitch for a Specific Product Launch / Campaign

Timing your pitch to a product launch or campaign dramatically increases success. Brands actively look for creators during launch windows.

Subject: [New Product Name] Launch — Collab Idea

Hi [Name/Team],

Congrats on the [new product/collection] launch! I saw the announcement on [where — Instagram, newsletter, etc.] and it immediately caught my attention.

I'm [Your Name], a [niche] creator with [X] followers and [X]% engagement. My audience would be a great fit for [product] because [specific reason — e.g., 'they're always asking me about hydrating serums'].

I'd love to be part of the launch content. I'm thinking [specific deliverable] that highlights [specific angle — e.g., 'how it fits into a morning routine'].

Media kit attached. Let me know if there's an opportunity!
